WYLD for Learning. WYLD for Life.
Our mission at WYLD Education is to empower young adults through mentorship to become lifelong learners and leaders by emphasizing three core values:
|
21st Century Learning Objectives in the Natural World
Why WYLD Education?:
The world provides constant opportunities for problem solving and personal growth, and the natural world was indeed our first and greatest teacher. Our programs are specially designed for adolescent learners to help bring learning and curriculum to life by engaging students in a “personal learning adventure.” We encourage students to ask important and fundamental questions about the natural world and humankind’s place in that world as they study new concepts and ideas in a hands-on environment.
WYLD Education programs are built on the most important features of 21st century education: Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Creativity, and Communication. Teamwork skills are essential to the success of both the individual and the group, and all students are given responsibilities and frequent opportunities for decision making. Students who learn through participation in outdoor programs gain life skills and self-awareness, develop confidence, and discover new talents and strengths.
